InAmerica Acquires Exclusive Worldwide License
to Revolutionary Anemoi Technology
SAN DIEGO, CA -- December 1, 2010-- InAmerica, Inc. (IPME:PK) today announced that it had acquired the the exclusive worldwide right to develop, market and distribute a revolutionary wind turbine technology. The new technology called Anemoi, differs significantly from existing wind turbine technologies, in that essentially all of the moving parts are situated at ground level.
“One of the weaknesses of existing wind turbines that we see in wind farms along the highway is the fact that the giant spinning blades and the self-contained hub containing the generator are several hundred feet off the ground. With that much mass moving so high above ground level, the initial cost the generating unit and the high maintenance costs over its useful life are significant.” said C. Gus Cristo, InAmerica’s CEO.
InAmerica has placed the license into a yet-to-be-named, new division formed to exploit the technology. Cristo said, “Once our engineering and design is finalized, we’ll evaluate whether to outsource manufacturing or build in house. Our expertise in the past has been in the turnaround industry, so if we choose to manufacture in house, we’ll probably acquire a distressed entity with the plant and equipment in place.”
