Resource Group Industries Retains Pray Walker To Sue IBM

New York, NY- March 8, 1980-  Resource Group Industries, Inc. (RGI), a reseller of IBM General Systems Division (GSD) computers, today announced that it had retained the law firm of Pray, Walker, Jackman, Williamson, & Marlar to represent it in anti-trust litigation against IBM for restraint of trade.  Warren Jackman, a partner with the firm agreed for the firm to take on the case.

RGI reached sales of $4.5 million in 1979. before IBM began unilaterally canceling RGI orders based upon restrictions not placed on other IBM customers.

In 1972, Floyd Walker and Jackman represented Telex its successful anti-trust litigation against IBM (Telex Corp. v. International Business Machiness Corp.) for restraining trade, and was awarded (with trebled damages) $259.5 million. The decision was reversed in 1975 but Walker and Jackman were not representing Telex at the time.

RGI is an operating unit of InAmerica Consulting, which is an Oklahoma-based turnaround consultancy.
