Resource Group Industries Sells First IBM System/38 to Peripheral manufacturer Telex Communications

New York, NY- May 15, 1979-  Resource Group Industries, Inc. (RGI), a reseller of IBM General Systems Division (GSD) computers, today announced that it had sold its earliest delivery position to Telex Communications, a subsidiary of Telex Corp., a manufacturer of computer peripheral equipment that plugged into IBM computers.

In 1972, Telex sued IBM (Telex Corp. v. International Business Machiness Corp.) for restraining trade, and was awarded (with trebled damages) $259.5 million. The decision was reversed in 1975.

RGI is an operating unit of InAmerica Consulting, which is an Oklahoma-based turnaround consultancy.
